Legal

Privacy policy.

What we collect when you visit this site, why we collect it, and how to reach us with questions.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to marketintelligencetools.com and describes how we handle information collected through normal use of the site: browsing pages, submitting the contact form, and clicking outbound links to vendors we cover. It does not apply to third-party sites you reach from our links; each vendor's own privacy policy governs data you share directly with them.

Information we collect

We collect two categories of information. The first is information you provide directly: your name and email address if you submit the contact form, and the content of your message, including any correction request, tool submission, or partnership inquiry. The second is information collected automatically through standard web analytics: pages visited, referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and time on page. We use this automatic data in aggregate to understand which content is useful and where the site has gaps, not to build individual visitor profiles.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies for basic analytics, to understand traffic patterns and page performance. Outbound links to vendors we review may include tracking parameters that let a vendor's own analytics attribute a visit to our site as the referral source; this works the same way a link from any other publication would, and does not give us visibility into what you do on the vendor's site afterward. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how analytics data is recorded but will not prevent you from reading any page on the site.

How we use information

Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry, whether that is a general question, a correction request, or a tool submission, and are not added to a marketing list unless you explicitly ask to be kept informed about a specific follow-up. Aggregate analytics data is used to prioritize which guides and rankings to update or expand. We do not sell visitor data.

Third-party links and affiliate relationships

Many pages link to vendor websites, and some of those links are affiliate links: if you sign up for or purchase a product after clicking through, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not influence the scores or rankings themselves, which are set by the criteria described in our methodology; see our editorial policy for how we separate revenue relationships from editorial judgment. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of any third-party site you visit from a link on this site.

Data retention and security

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve the inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up questions. We use standard technical safeguards to protect the site and any information submitted through it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can browse the site without submitting any personal information. If you have contacted us and want your information corrected or deleted, or if you have any other privacy question, email us using the address below and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or its tools change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
