Sales intelligence

Best for

A founder, a two-rep sales team or an agency that buys 250 to 10,000 business contacts at a time, wants a CSV in minutes, and refuses the annual contracts ZoomInfo or Cognism sell. Packs start at $99 for 250 contacts and the balance never expires.

Not for

A revenue team that needs two-way CRM sync, intent-led account scoring or deep coverage of a niche industry. Reviews on G2, Capterra and TrustRadius repeat two complaints: thin results in specialised businesses, and exports that need a manual pass before the sales system.

What it costs

25 published packs from $99 for 250 credits ($0.40 each) to $24,999 for 2.5 million ($0.01 each), a free pack of 10 with no card, unlimited seats, and a BeSpoke hand-built list from $499 per 1,000 records. The 97% deliverability guarantee refunds as account credit.

Price transparency9225 packs published on a slider, with the per-contact rate stated on every tier.
Fit: solo marketer or founder88$99 entry, a free pack of 10 contacts, and a first export that runs the same day you sign up.

Fit: enterprise with procurement45The trust pages stop at GDPR and CCPA badges, the SOC 2 report and SLA a procurement review asks for stay unpublished, and quotes start above 2.5 million contacts.

What BookYourData publishes about itself, and where its own numbers disagree

The 500M+ profiles, 250M+ contacts, 30M+ companies, 97% accuracy guarantee and 20,000+ paying customers are BookYourData's own figures, taken from its pricing page, about page, help center and the sales deck reproduced in three crops below, and every one of them is the vendor's own unaudited count. Pack prices come from the pricing slider, read in July 2026.

The BBB profile supplies the incorporation date, the New York address and the CEO's name, while the vendor's own llms.txt file gives Washington, DC as its location. Ratings are G2's, Capterra's and TrustRadius's own aggregates.

BookYourData is a self-serve B2B data platform that sells business contacts from one database, one credit at a time, paid by card per pack, with real time email verification at export. Signup is self-serve, and the first export can run within minutes of creating the account.

You filter 250 million contacts at 30M+ companies by job title, industry, company size and country, pay for the rows you export, and BookYourData promises 97% of the emails will deliver. The pricing model does the selling, so this review spends most of its words checking the data behind it.

This review covers what a credit buys, where the 500M+ profiles come from, how the 97% guarantee pays out when it fails, and what 461 reviewers across G2, Capterra and TrustRadius say went wrong with the records. It also reads BookYourData against ZoomInfo, Apollo, Lusha and Cognism, the four names its own reviewers keep comparing it to.

This suits businesses of two to fifty people. A founder, an SDR pair, a recruiter, or a marketing agency running outreach efforts for six clients can spend $99 and have targeted prospect lists in the CRM inside an hour. Customers at 1,000-employee companies show up in the reviews too, buying one targeted list for one campaign. The items a procurement team asks for (SOC 2, SLA, two-way sync) sit outside anything BookYourData publishes.

What BookYourData sells and where the B2B data comes from

BookYourData sells three services off one database. Prospector is BookYourData's self service filters tool: 100+ filters, instant download to CSV, or a push to a CRM. Pre built lists are ready-made packages of decision makers by job title, industry, company size or state, paid from the same balance.

BeSpoke, launched in 2026, is BookYourData's private list building service, where a research team hand-builds a list to a written brief for businesses and buyers no filter can express, from $499 per 1,000 records.

BookYourData compiles its data, per its help center, from public corporate websites, business filings, news releases, professional directories, licensed B2B data partners and technology usage signals, and states that it holds B2B records only. Each record carries up to 100 data points, including:

  • Work or personal email, verification status, mobile direct dial
  • LinkedIn profile URL and LinkedIn company URL
  • Job title, management level, department and function
  • SIC and NAICS codes, revenue, employees, founded year
  • Technographics, last funding round, job postings

Company filters cover 30M+ companies by industry keywords, company size, revenue, employees, technologies, location and country. The same six headline counts appear on the "Our Data" panel of BookYourData's own "Convince Your Boss" sales deck, reproduced below as the vendor states them.

A crop from BookYourData's own sales deck listing its claimed figures: 250M+ B2B contacts, 500M+ profiles, 30M+ companies, 60K+ technologies tracked, 200+ countries and a 97% accuracy guarantee, next to a six-item feature grid
This is the "Our Data" panel from BookYourData's own deck, and every figure on it is the vendor's own unaudited claim.

The pricing page adds a caveat to the "100 data points" figure, since a record carries only the attributes the database holds for it. A contact with a verified business email and a LinkedIn URL still costs a full credit when the mobile field is blank.

Two of those fields do more work than the others. The job hierarchy maps 250,000 unique titles into departments and levels, so a search for a Chief People Officer also returns a CHRO and a Chief Happiness Officer, and "CEO" catches the German and French equivalents across 10 languages, so a job title search in Germany still connects.

Refresh runs every 30 to 90 days, which a TrustRadius reviewer, a marketing strategist at a 1,001 to 5,000-employee company, May 2025, called out:

"The list refreshes every 30 to 90 days; if it could be 1 week, this would be great. But it's okay as you can't contact all the leads within a week."

BookYourData pricing across 25 pay as you go credit packs

BookYourData sells single packs paid by card, and the credits stay usable indefinitely. One credit unlocks one full contact, email and mobile together, exported to CSV or a CRM at the speed of a download.

BookYourData's own deck sells that workflow as five steps against nine for a subscription rival, with the email verifier and catch-all verifier folded into the download, so the verifier cost sits inside the credit price. Read the left column as BookYourData's description of its competitors, since the deck leaves every rival unnamed.

A crop from BookYourData's own sales deck comparing a nine-step workflow it attributes to other platforms, including paying for a separate email verifier and catch-all verifier, with its own five-step workflow of prospect, download with verification, launch, close and pay as you go
This crop is from BookYourData's own deck, and the nine-step column is the vendor's account of unnamed rivals, so read it as marketing.

The BookYourData pricing page markets the packs to businesses of all sizes and publishes 25 on a slider: 250 for $99 ($0.40 each), 1,000 for $299 ($0.30), 5,000 for $799 ($0.16), 10,000 for $999 ($0.10), 50,000 for $3,699 ($0.07), 250,000 for $8,699 ($0.03), and 2,500,000 for $24,999 ($0.01). Above 2.5 million, BookYourData quotes.

Seven of BookYourData's 25 packs, from 250 contacts at $99 ($0.40 each) to 2.5 million contacts at $24,999 ($0.01 each), with per-contact cost bars
The chart shows seven of the 25 published packs, and the smallest costs 40 times the largest per contact.

The 250-contact pack is the expensive one at $0.40 a contact, four times what the 10,000 buyer pays. Anyone buying 1,000 contacts a month does better buying 10,000 once, since the balance never expires and there's no monthly usage cap, a rule BookYourData states in its own FAQ.

Three things are free that subscription vendors charge for. Seats are unlimited inside one account, so a marketing agency and its clients join the same balance. You sign up for the 10-contact free pack without a card, and it carries access to all enterprise features.

The best price guarantee comes with one stated condition, a screenshot from a US-based provider with 95% or better deliverability, and BookYourData commits to beat it. A Cognism quote from the UK falls outside that condition.

A Capterra reviewer, an executive assistant, July 2026, titled her review "ZoomInfo quoted us $24,000 and BookYourData delivered the same data for $2000", then gave the con: "Learning complex search options required some initial trial and error."

Capterra review, July 2026, Patricia W., executive assistant, under six months of use.

BeSpoke, the private lane, prices separately: $499 for 1,000 records ($0.50 each), $1,999 for 10,000 ($0.20), $6,999 for 50,000 ($0.14), $17,999 for 250,000 ($0.07). A free 10-row sample lands within about 30 hours, a 25% deposit starts the build, and delivery of most files takes up to 3 business days with a public source link on every row, and 50,000+ record builds get a committed delivery date.

Per-record cost of BookYourData Prospector packs versus BeSpoke builds at 1,000, 10,000, 50,000 and 250,000 records, BeSpoke running roughly double at every size
BeSpoke runs at about twice the per-record rate of the packs at every published size.

Real time verification and how the 97% guarantee pays out

Every export runs through an 8-step real time email verification at download, and the help center names six of the checks: SMTP handshake, domain and MX lookup, bounce-pattern scoring, role-based and disposable filtering, recent activity matching, and duplicate removal. Catch-all domains are verified too, and cheaper verified lists lose addresses at that step.

The deck makes the same point as a cost argument, stating that the email verifier and the catch-all verifier run at zero extra charge, so the credit price is the whole price. That is the vendor's framing of its own pricing, reproduced here because it is the claim the 97% figure rests on.

A crop from BookYourData's own sales deck, a panel headed cost, stating that its email verifier and catch-all verifier are included at zero extra cost, that credits never expire, and that buyers pay once
This is the cost panel from BookYourData's own deck, and the zero-extra-cost verifier line is the vendor's claim about its own product.

BookYourData's guarantee pays in credit. The guarantees page works an example where 20% of addresses are dead, so the list delivered 80% and BookYourData adds 22% more data to bring you back to the 97% you paid for. You send the hard-bounce report from your sending tool, and the credit lands in the account as new contacts to export.

BookYourData's guarantee arithmetic: 970 of 1,000 promised, 800 delivered with 20% of addresses dead, 22% more contacts added free, triggered above a 3% dead-address rate and covering dead mailboxes only
The arithmetic is BookYourData's own example, the refund arrives as credit, and only hard bounces count toward it.

A hard bounce is a dead mailbox. A live mailbox belonging to the wrong person, or to a contact who left last quarter while the address still routes, counts as delivered. The 97% measures mailbox existence. The accuracy complaints in the reviews describe live mailboxes at the wrong desk.

A G2 sales manager at a company of 50 or fewer, May 2026, described that second kind:

"Some contacts were old, so I had to remove a few from my list manually. I also think the filters can be improved a little for narrow searches".

G2 review, May 2026, Marlon Eugenio P., sales manager.

Is BookYourData legit according to its incorporation, BBB record and review counts

BookYourData is a real data vendor. It is eleven years old, with a database spanning 200+ countries by its own count. The BBB profile shows a corporation incorporated on 17 April 2015, an A+ rating, accreditation since 21 November 2022, a registered address at 2 Wall St, New York, NY 10005, and Baris Zeren as CEO.

The footer names the trademark owner as A Direct Marketing Inc. BookYourData's own llms.txt file, dated 29 July 2026, disagrees with the BBB record and lists the location as Washington, DC.

The about page dates the milestones: pay as you go pricing in 2017, real time verification in 2018, 97% in 2023, 500 million profiles in 2024, private list building in 2026. It also claims 20,000+ paying businesses, from IBM and Microsoft down to companies of two people.

Review volume is high and skewed. The platform's G2 listing shows 351 reviews at 4.9 with Momentum Leader, High Performer and Easiest To Use badges from Spring 2025, while Capterra shows 100 at 4.9 and TrustRadius shows 10 at 9.9 out of 10. ZoomInfo's blog review of the product also cites a 4.0 on Trustpilot and a 5.0 on GetApp across 89 reviews.

Of the 25 Capterra reviews on page one, zero sit below 4.0, and reviewer industries run from Legal Services, Consumer Services and Information Technology and Services to farming, apparel and maritime businesses. The one Reddit thread Google surfaces has zero comments, zero votes and ten paragraphs of pasted marketing strings.

A page-one spread with zero reviews under 4.0 is a sign to read the moderation rules. Weigh that against how G2 moderates and rewards reviews and how Capterra verifies them before reading a 4.9 as a measurement.

What users complain about most

Niche industry coverage tops the BookYourData complaint list, appearing in seven of the eleven critical reviews we pulled. A Capterra sales manager in farming, March 2025, put it in one sentence:

"Niche industries like cannabis have limited contacts, hard to find long term value for these types of business sectors."

Capterra review, March 2025, Eric A., sales manager, farming.

A TrustRadius account executive at KXB Worldwide, May 2025, drew the same line between mainstream and niche:

"I think it does a great job for general industries but struggles for more niche categories."

TrustRadius review, May 2025, Eric Almazan, account executive.

The second cluster is filter depth for industrial buyers and the third is CRM sync. Both arrive in one G2 review from a head of sales in industrial automation, 51 to 1,000 employees, April 2026:

"One pain point is that technical profile filters, while useful, could be more granular. We often need to target based on exact types of production equipment, control systems, or automation maturity levels, but the current options don't go deep enough for specialized industrial use cases. We still end up manually cross-checking some records. Second, CRM integration could be smoother."

G2 review, April 2026, Paulin M., Head of Sales & Business Development, industrial automation.

A Capterra PR associate, August 2026, said the same in fourteen words: "I would like to see more direct CRM integrations and a few more automation options."

What users praise most

Reviewers praise the price against ZoomInfo and Lusha first, then accurate data and the speed of building a list. A G2 freelancer, July 2026, on the price:

"Made the switch from ZoomInfo easy to justify because the data still covers what we need without the heavy cost."

G2 review, July 2026, Rinna Z., freelancer.

A Capterra assistant who switched from Lusha, April 2026, found the emails accurate at the speciality level:

"Chiropractor emails are accurate and bounce rates are low. Filters make it easy to target by location or specialty. Lists download fast and the platform feels clean. Much simpler and more reliable than ZoomInfo or Lusha."

Capterra review, April 2026, Dianne P., assistant.

Support is the third theme customers raise. Capterra scores customer service 4.9 of 5, and a training coordinator who switched from Lusha, November 2024, wrote "Cutomer support is amazing." A Capterra PR associate in education, August 2026, ran the three-way comparison most buyers run:

"We looked at BookYourData alongside Apollo and ZoomInfo before choosing a platform. ZoomInfo offered many features, but the cost was difficult to justify for our team. Apollo worked well in some cases, though the contact quality was not always consistent. BookYourData gave us dependable data, an easy search experience, and flexible pricing. Creating targeted lists takes only a few minutes, and the contact accuracy has been strong."

Capterra reviews, Jasmin C., training coordinator, November 2024, and Asmit B., PR associate, August 2026.

Sales intelligence gaps in intent signals, integrations, API and export

BookYourData's marketing contradicts itself on how contact data leaves the platform. The July 2026 help center claims 1,000+ CRM integrations, naming HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho and Pipedrive, plus an API for real time enrichment.

The homepage, fetched the same week, lists "API Coming Soon" and "Chrome Extension Coming Soon", the latter described as finding leads on LinkedIn, in its own product grid, while the pricing page marks API access as "Included".

What's documented on every page:

  • CSV export, one row per contact, all contacts in one instant download, with CSV as the only format
  • A suppression-list upload that removes contact data you already own before checkout
  • An enrichment lane that appends existing records with new attributes: upload a file of contacts with blanks and the platform will fill missing fields from the database, priced per completed row
  • Support services through email, live chat, phone and a dedicated customer success manager, per the pricing FAQ

Intent is the newest claim. A ZoomInfo-published review states ZoomInfo carries buyer intent data and BookYourData has none, while BookYourData's July 2026 help center now lists buyer intent signals as one of the 100+ filters, flagging companies researching a product category. The source and refresh rate for the signals stay unpublished, so treat the filter as unproven until a pipeline built on it converts.

Compliance reads as four claims on a page: GDPR and CCPA badges, a CAN SPAM alignment line, an opt-out portal at optout.bookyourdata.com, and B2B-only sourcing under legitimate interest. The trust pages stop there, so an enterprise security review that asks for a SOC 2 report, an ISO certificate or a DPA download stalls at its first question.

BookYourData had no MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT as of 15 October 2026, and its homepage still marks the API as “Coming Soon”. The BookYourData MCP review covers the three workarounds that get its data into Claude today and what each one costs in credits.

BookYourData vs ZoomInfo, Apollo, Lusha and Cognism

ZoomInfo wins when buyers need intent, workflows and a CRM that stays in sync, and it loses on price for companies below enterprise. Our ZoomInfo review found every plan quoted, Professional near $15,000 a year and Enterprise above $7,000 a month, and the Capterra reviewer above paid $2,000 here against $24,000 there.

ZoomInfo's own review of BookYourData puts its database at 500M contacts and 100M companies against 250M+ and 30M+, claims up to 95% accuracy on first-party data against the 97% guarantee, and calls the export CSV-only. The ZoomInfo alternatives hub ranks 18 challengers.

Apollo wins for companies that want sequencing and a database in one seat at $79 per user a month billed annually, per our Apollo review. It loses on accuracy in the one head-to-head we have, where the Capterra reviewer called Apollo's contact quality "not always consistent", and per-seat pricing punishes a five-person team that exports rarely.

Lusha is the closest pricing peer and the database most BookYourData reviewers switched from. Lusha's Starter runs $49.90 and Pro $69.90 a month, and a phone reveal costs 5 credits against 1 for an email, per our Lusha review and Lusha pricing teardown. BookYourData charges one credit for email and mobile together.

Lusha wins on its Chrome extension, which pulls emails and phones off a LinkedIn profile on the $0 plan, while BookYourData lists its own extension as coming soon.

Cognism wins for UK and EU companies with outbound teams that need phone-verified mobile numbers and do-not-call screening across 15 countries, and it loses on transparency, with every plan quoted and third-party estimates of $1,500 to $25,000 a year, per our Cognism review. It also fails BookYourData's price-match test, which covers US-based businesses only. The B2B data providers ranking and the sales intelligence ranking place all four.

Verdict

Buy BookYourData if you're one of the small businesses it was built for: a founder, a two-rep team, a recruiter, or an agency whose clients join one account. The fit is 250 to 10,000 verified business contacts per campaign, self service filters, and the price visible before talking to anyone.

The $99 pack, the free pack of 10, the unlimited seats and the never-expiring balance are all published, the checkout is a card form, and 461 BookYourData reviews across three platforms agree the export works and the verified contacts stay accurate for mainstream job titles.

Skip it if your pipeline runs on two-way sync, intent-led scoring, or an industry the filters don't reach, because a company in that position pays for a list it rebuilds by hand. Seven of eleven critical reviewers hit thin niche coverage, and the homepage lists the API and Chrome extension as coming soon while the help center calls them shipped.

It might suit a mid-market team with two caveats. Buy the 10,000 pack at $0.10 a contact and skip the $99 packs, and run every export through your own sending tool's accuracy check before the campaign, because the guarantee refunds dead mailboxes only, and a wrong person at a live mailbox counts as delivered.
