Gong pricing in 2026: a $55,359 median contract, seat licenses, platform fees and credits
Gong pricing comes as a quote, and the median buyer signs for $55,359 a year. That's Vendr's tracked median across 1,145 Gong purchases, and it's the closest thing to a list price the market has.
Gong's own Revenue AI pricing page names three cost parts and prices none of them. This report prices each part from Gong's own documents and sets the result against Clari, Outreach, Chorus, Salesloft, Avoma and Fireflies. The category-wide numbers sit in the revenue intelligence pricing report.
It's written for sales leaders, revenue leaders and revenue operations managers holding a Gong quote. The sections below cover the plans, platform fees, AI credits, contract terms, buyer quotes, negotiation and a seven-vendor comparison. The devil's in the details: Gong contracts auto-renew and re-price smaller renewals, so a year-one mistake carries into year two.
The numbers Gong pricing, checked 6 October 2026
Gong pricing at the median runs 4.8 times the smallest contract Vendr has tracked.
Gong confirms a per-user license and a platform fee on its pricing page and prints a price for neither.
The renewal window closes 60 days before the term ends, and an account that misses it rolls into another full year.
How much Gong costs in 2026
Gong's revenue intelligence platform has a pricing page with three statements and a form, rendered in a browser on 6 October 2026: "Licenses are priced per user", "There is a platform fee based on the number of users supported" and "You can integrate your existing tech stack for free." Its schema markup carries no price either, and CRM integration carries no separate fee.
The form opens on team size, with four bands: 1 to 50, 51 to 1,000, 1,001 to 9,999 and 10,000+.
Vendr's header block gives the market numbers. The median contract is $55,359 a year, the lowest tracked deal $11,497 and the highest $203,683, with buyers saving 14% on average. Avoma's Gong pricing post quoted Vendr's March 2026 median as $54,900 across 1,126 purchases, so 19 more deals moved it up $459.
Gong's own numbers cap the average account. It reported $500 million in ARR from more than 5,000 companies in May 2026, which works out to under $100,000 per customer a year, about 1.8 times Vendr's median.
Gong's plans: one platform license plus five applications
Gong changed its packaging for contracts renewed from March 2025. Its plans and seats article, updated 8 January 2026, describes a plan as "a core license, any additional applications, and the desired number of seats for each."
Gong Foundation
Foundation is the core platform license every seat starts from. Gong's credits announcement lists what stays inside the seat: call analysis, conversation insights, deal intelligence, forecasting, coaching, revenue and deal predictions, and individual Gong Agents. Gong records meetings on Zoom and other collaboration tools either as a bot or natively, per its recording documentation.
Enable Essentials
Enable Essentials adds AI-based coaching aimed at sales performance, for sales managers who want deep coaching on sales conversations. The Gong Enable page lists an AI Call Reviewer that scores calls to track rep performance, a coaching inbox for coaching notes, and an AI Trainer that turns past calls into role-play for rep coaching.
Gong's team performance stats score talk ratio, longest monologue, interactivity, patience and question rate, recommending monologues under 2 minutes 30 seconds and at least 18 questions an hour.
Forecast Essentials, Gong Forecast and pipeline visibility
Forecast Essentials gives pipeline visibility "with granular deal intelligence," per the help center. Gong Forecast is the full sales forecasting application, with AI Deal Reviewer, AI Deal Monitor and forecast submission on its product page. Pipeline management across the sales process comes in two seat types.
Gong Engage
Engage is Gong's sales engagement application, priced against the 14 vendors in the sales engagement pricing report. The Engage page describes outreach flows for the prospecting stage of the sales process, an AI Composer for email, and Gong Enrich, which finds a valid email or phone number for a contact and improves data accuracy on the record.
Data Cloud and data integration
Data Cloud handles data integration out of Gong, exporting Gong-enriched data to BI tools and other tools for advanced analytics. Revenue organizations use it to spot trends across call data and run data quality checks outside Gong.
Team members with no seat are Collaborators, and Gong's help center says their seats "are free of charge." A viewer who only listens to sales calls doesn't need a paid license.
What renewing onto the new plan model changes
Gong grandfathers existing functionality at renewal and charges for anything added afterwards. Its help center gives the example: a contract with 20 Gong Pro seats using Deals renews into 20 Gong Foundation seats plus 20 Forecast Essentials seats "at no additional cost."
Growing from 20 to 30 seats at renewal keeps that treatment. Adding 10 seats a month later means paying for Foundation and Forecast Essentials for each person, pro rata to the term's end. Read between the lines and the cheapest moment to add seats is the renewal itself.
Platform fees and what drives a Gong quote
Every Gong customer pays a platform fee "based on the number of users supported." That makes platform fees a step function of team size, priced at each band on the quote form.
Five inputs move the total cost of a Gong order form:
- Team size, entered first on the quote form.
- Applications: Enable Essentials, Forecast Essentials, Gong Forecast, Engage and Data Cloud, each with its own seat count.
- AI credit volume above the 2,000 included per paid core seat.
- Contract length. Gong's AWS Marketplace listing offers 12, 24 and 36-month contracts.
- Services: one of 10 implementation packages, plus education or managed services.
The AWS listing splits Gong into three contract dimensions: Conversation Intelligence, Engage and Forecast. It prints $100,000 against a 12-month unit of each and labels all three "Available Through Private Offer Only," so the real number arrives in a private offer. Enterprise sales teams that buy through AWS can route a Gong contract that way.
Gong credits, AI agents and the AI usage line
Gong added a metered line in 2026. Its credits announcement, published 9 June 2026, says customers got allocation emails in late May and that "Additional credits can be purchased if needed." Revenue AI that runs in the background now draws from a pool.
The credits article sets the allocation and the rates:
- Each paid core seat includes 2,000 credits a year, shared company-wide and reset yearly.
- Purchased credits last until the contract ends and don't roll into a new term.
- 10 emails cost 1 credit. A call over 10 minutes costs 1 credit, a shorter one 0.3.
- Each web search inside a generated brief costs 10 credits.
Question-based AI Trackers, the APIs for AI Ask Anything and AI Briefer, the MCP server and Deep mode consume credits. Pretrained trackers don't. At 1 credit per long call, a seat's 2,000 credits cover about 2,000 call analyses a year, roughly 8 per working day.
When the pool runs dry, processing of new call data stops for those features, API requests return errors and automated briefs stop, while processed data stays readable. Sales teams rolling out custom trackers across all phone calls should price the top-up first, because a stitch in time saves nine. SDR teams dialing at the volumes in our cold calling statistics report hit the pool first.
Gong's agents page lists 16 named agents, from AI Transcriber, which handles AI transcription, to AI Deal Predictor. Agents wired into automated workflows through the API take routine tasks such as automated briefs off reps and draw on credits, so keep an eye on the pool once a RevOps team starts building them.
Implementation fees, services and the contract terms that set year-two cost
Gong publishes a services catalog with 10 implementation packages and no prices: Call Intelligence, Foundation Quickstart and Professional, Enable Quickstart and Professional, Engage Quickstart, Plus and Professional, and Forecast Quickstart and Professional.
The catalog, updated June 2026, says the services "are non-refundable" and "must be consumed within the Subscription Term."
Gong's terms and conditions, last updated June 2026, carry the clauses that decide what renewal costs:
| Clause | What Gong's terms say | Budget effect |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-renewal | One-year renewals unless written notice, email acceptable, arrives 60 days before the term ends | A missed date commits the account to 12 more months |
| Promotional pricing | Promotional pricing renews at Gong's list price at the time | A first-year discount lapses at month 13 unless the order form fixes it |
| Smaller renewal | A drop in volume or length triggers re-pricing "without regard to the prior term's per-unit pricing" | Cutting from 50 to 30 seats resets the per-seat rate |
| Payment | Due within 30 days; noncancelable and non-refundable | The full year is owed even if adoption stalls |
| Late payment | Service charge of 1.0% per month on the amount due | 12% a year on any overdue balance |
| Exit | Data export on request within 30 days of termination | Recordings need exporting inside that window |
Call recording adds a legal line outside Gong's invoice. Gong's documentation says consent requirements "vary by country and, in some cases, by state," and your Tech admin sets consent behavior in the recording settings. Counsel signs off on those settings, and that review time belongs in the total cost.
Third-party estimates of Gong's platform fee, seat price and onboarding
Competitors that sell conversation intelligence against Gong publish the figures it leaves out. Each is the publisher's own estimate:
- Oliv, 11 September 2026: an annual platform fee of $5,000 to $50,000, core licenses near $1,600 per user a year under 50 seats easing to $1,360 above 250, onboarding near $7,500, enterprise deployments from about $28,500 to $65,000, and renewal increases of 5% to 15% a year.
- Avoma: $1,200 to $2,400 per seat a year and 60% to 70% of deals signed as multi-year contracts, both citing Vendr, a platform fee from $5,000 for small teams up to $50,000, and a one-time $7,500 professional services fee for onboarding, support and training.
Treat each number as an opening position for contract negotiations. AI answers repeat these blog figures too, the failure tested in the software pricing errors study.
What Gong buyers say about the price
Seat count is the complaint sales teams repeat. A principal product manager at a mid-market company wrote on G2 on 11 August 2025 that "It's very expensive with key capabilities locked behind additional seats or tiers". A director at a small events services company put it mildly:
"The pricing is fair, but it could get a little expensive if you are adding a bunch of seats."
Director, events services, G2 review, 23 April 2026
Paying for unused modules is the second theme:
"After a while, they started to put a lot of features in the product that I felt like, while we were paying for, we ended up not using. The product became expensive compared to competitors."
Verified user, computer hardware, G2 review, 30 April 2026
Switching costs keep accounts in place, so some buyers bite the bullet. A sales team lead at a 201-to-500-person IT services firm compared Gong with Zoom Revenue Accelerator:
"Gong was more expensive by far, and there were many more affordable options on the market, but at the time, we also considered switching costs and decided to stay with Gong."
Team lead in sales, IT services, TrustRadius review, 30 December 2024
Buyers who renew name what the money bought:
"Pricing wise it may be a little bit more expensive but still gave us a much more structured tech stack and customer experience for Sales people."
Analyst, telecommunications, TrustRadius review, 18 August 2026
How to negotiate a Gong contract
Six levers come from Gong's own terms and help center:
- Calendar the notice date on signing day: 60 days before the term ends, by email. Leave it to the last week and you're down to the wire.
- Write the renewal price into the order form, since promotional pricing renews at list.
- Buy applications at renewal. Seats added a month later pay for Foundation and Forecast Essentials separately.
- Get the price of extra credits before rolling out custom AI Trackers.
- Schedule the implementation package in the first quarter, since unused services expire with the term.
- Bring Vendr's $55,359 median, its 14% average savings and a published price from a Gong alternative.
Demo-call questions on CRM integration, call recording and credits
- Does the CRM integration write back to every deal stage field, and what sync delays should we expect?
- Do AI-generated summaries, automated follow-ups and trackers for call sentiment or competitor mentions draw credits?
- Is real-time coaching during live sales calls in the seat or a separate application?
- Do stalled deals show up in Forecast Essentials, or only in Gong Forecast?
- Can the entire team of listeners, including sales reps without a recording need, stay on free Collaborator seats?
Talk is cheap, so get each answer on the order form. Revenue organizations that fix seats, applications, credits and the renewal cap in one document are in the driver's seat when the 60-day window opens.
Gong alternative pricing: Clari, Outreach, Chorus, Salesloft, Avoma and Fireflies
Four revenue intelligence rivals sell on quotes as well, and two publish seat prices.
| Vendor | Published price | Vendr median a year | Tracked purchases |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gong | Quote form, 4 team size bands | $55,359* | 1,145 |
| Clari | Quote only | $76,000* | 291 |
| Outreach | Amplify Plus "Request pricing," 50,000 AI credits | $45,600* | 917 |
| Chorus by ZoomInfo | Listed on ZoomInfo's pricing page with no price | $33,500* (all ZoomInfo) | 1,575 |
| Salesloft | "Talk to Sales" form | $30,740* | 708 |
| Avoma | $19 or $29 a seat a month, plus $29 add-ons, billed annually | $23,112* | Not shown |
| Fireflies | $0 free tier; $10, $19 or $39 a seat a month, billed annually | $10,620* | Not shown |
Published prices come from each vendor's own pricing page. Figures marked * are Vendr median annual contract values from buyer-reported data, read 6 October 2026.
Avoma's pricing page lists Startup at $19 per recorder seat a month, with unlimited AI summaries, and Organization at $29, billed annually, with Conversation Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence add-ons at $29 each and dashboards for performance trends. Its FAQ says there are "no setup fees, no minimum platform fees," and expert onboarding is an optional $1,000.
Fireflies' pricing page shows a $0 plan with 400 storage minutes per team, then Pro at $10, Business at $19 and Enterprise at $39 per seat a month, with SSO, audit logs and HIPAA as its enterprise features. That buys call recording, AI transcription and AI summaries for mid-sized teams. Both sit in the conversation intelligence software ranking.
The quote-only group splits by job. Outreach bundles conversation intelligence, sequencing and sales engagement with agents that "guide reps live in meetings," its form of real time coaching. Salesloft asks for a 15-minute intro call. ZoomInfo lists Chorus beside its data plans, for teams that also buy intent data; the ZoomInfo pricing report breaks those down. Outdoo runs a free plan and gives Growth and Enterprise buyers a custom quote based on team size.
The right Gong alternative depends on which applications a team would use. A team paying for multiple platforms, Fireflies for notes and Clari for forecasts, is weighing them against one unified platform. Teams wanting real-time coaching, forecasting and engagement from one vendor compare Gong, Clari and Outreach, the top of the revenue intelligence software ranking.
Gong's ROI claims and where they come from
Gong's sales forecasting page says it uses "300+ unique signals to predict deal outcomes" with "20% more precision than algorithms based on CRM data." Rivals making similar claims are ranked under predictive sales analytics software.
Gong's lead management guide adds three AI insights:
- Lead scoring: Gong AI uses more than 300 buying signals to rank leads by likelihood to convert.
- "Improving lead qualification can boost your pipeline by 300 percent," cited to Gong's EdgePetrol story.
- Better use of sales data "can increase your win rate by 34 percent," cited to its Mintel story.
The conversation intelligence page says Gong can "Capture 99% of customer interactions automatically" and lists talk ratio analysis among its coaching insights. Every figure here comes straight from the horse's mouth, a Gong page. A pilot on your own sales pipeline, run for one full sales cycle, checks them before a 36-month term.
What to budget for 10, 50 and 200 seats
Sales teams of ten sit at the bottom of Vendr's range, where the smallest tracked Gong contract is $11,497. Ten Avoma Organization seats with the Conversation Intelligence add-on come to $6,960 a year, and ten Fireflies Business seats to $2,280.
Fifty reps land near the median. Fifty Avoma Organization seats with both add-ons cost $52,200 a year at list, $3,159 under Gong's $55,359 median. Revenue teams at that size buy deal insights, pipeline health and pipeline management reports along with recording, where Gong's applications earn their price.
Two hundred reps reach the top of the tracked range at $203,683, with 400,000 included credits a year. The budget for most teams carries these lines:
- Foundation licenses for every recording user, plus application seats.
- Platform fees for the team size band.
- A credit top-up sized to call and email volume.
- One implementation package, used inside year one.
- Legal review of recording consent settings.
- The CRM seats Gong syncs with, priced in the CRM software cost report.

Bottom line
Gong pricing has five parts, and the vendor prices none of them in public: per-user licenses, platform fees by team size, application seats, AI credits and a services package. Vendr's $55,359 median across 1,145 deals is the benchmark to bring to the first call.
A 60-day notice window, list-price renewals on promotional deals and re-pricing on any smaller renewal decide what the second year costs. Each can be fixed on the order form before signature.
For a ten-rep team, Avoma and Fireflies publish prices under Gong's smallest tracked contract. For enterprise revenue teams, the comparison is Gong against Clari and Outreach, quote against quote.
