Outreach review
·
Outreach sells a sales engagement platform to enterprise revenue teams, and it publishes no price for any of it. Every one of its four Amplify tiers routes to "reach out to our team for custom pricing," so the number a buyer pays depends on a sales conversation with no rate card attached.
This review is in progress. What follows is the short version: what the tool does, what it costs, and who it suits. The full scored review against our four-pillar methodology, fit, signal quality, workflow depth and buyer caution, comes later. Until then, our Amplemarket review covers Outreach as the enterprise engagement incumbent it displaces most often.
What Outreach does
Outreach sells a sales engagement platform to enterprise revenue teams. Note that outreach.io now 302-redirects to outreach.ai, so older citations may land on a different domain than the one checked here.
The four tiers separate on AI credit allotment:
- Amplify Essentials: 10,000 AI credits, centred on conversation intelligence: real-time transcription, sentiment analysis, deal and pipeline management.
- Amplify Core: 25,000 credits, adds multi-channel sequences, call insights, and the Revenue and Personalization agents; the tier a team buying Outreach for outbound sequencing needs.
- Amplify Plus: 50,000 credits, live in-meeting coaching, AI Coach Cards and a Meeting Prep Agent.
- Amplify Pro: 100,000 credits, AI forecast projection, a scenario planner, and managed services.
Pricing
Every tier routes to a sales conversation. The vendor's own pricing page, checked 16 August 2026, lists the four Amplify tiers and one instruction: "Reach out to our team for custom pricing based on your team's needs." Outreach states pricing is per user with no platform fee, and offers no other public number.
Every mid-market competitor in this category publishes a figure Outreach doesn't: Apollo runs roughly $49 to $150 per seat per month, lemlist lists $69 a month for its Email plan, and Amplemarket names $600 a month for its Startup Plan. Outreach names nothing, which pushes a small team into a demo cycle before it learns if the tool is affordable at all.

Email from $55/user/mo billed annually, Multichannel from $87; no sales call required to see a price.

Who it's for
A revenue org with a Salesforce-shaped process, several dozen reps, and a manager layer that wants call recordings scored and forecasts modelled in the same tool that sends the sequences. Amplemarket's own customer data names Outreach as the competitor it displaces most often.
Who should skip it
Buyers under 20 seats rarely clear the procurement cost of a quote-only annual contract. A five-rep startup weighing a $600 Amplemarket Startup Plan gets no price from Outreach: just a quote-only enterprise contract, with no way to budget before the call.

Credit metering is the second catch: the AI features that justify the Amplify tiers are rationed by credit balance, so a heavy-usage team can exhaust an allotment mid-contract and negotiate again.
Reviewers of Outreach cite complexity as a recurring frustration, though that framing should be discounted somewhat given it mostly comes from competitors' own marketing. New to the category? Start with what market intelligence is.
