TrendMiner pricing in 2026: quote-only licences, deployment costs and what to budget
The numbers TrendMiner pricing, checked 5 November 2026
A 9% average discount says the quote moves, but a buyer who stops there leaves the bigger cost, the 4-month rollout, off the table.
An 8-month payback is the figure TrendMiner's sales team will lean on, and it's G2's number, so it's fair to bring to the table.
Canary's $3,980 subscription is the floor of what a plant pays for time series data tooling with a public price, which frames any TrendMiner quote that follows.
I'll write a 2,500+ word report on the platform you name, with cost drivers, deployment routes and the published prices of its rivals, each one sourced. Yours to publish, from $200.
TrendMiner pricing is quote-only. The vendor's pricing request page promises "a tailored quote for our analytics platform" and routes every buyer to a specialist call, so the real cost of this industrial analytics platform sits inside a sales conversation, a licence file and a 4-month rollout.
This report pulls together what can be checked: the cost drivers G2 lists, the licence change TrendMiner shipped in October 2026, the deployment routes, implementation figures, and the published prices of the nearest alternatives. It's written for process engineers, plant managers and IT buyers who want data driven decisions on the spend itself, with a budget line in hand before the first demo call.
Every figure below links to the vendor, a review platform or a competitor's own price list. User quotes that mention money stay inside quotation marks.
How much TrendMiner costs
TrendMiner offers one platform and no public rate card. The TrendMiner FAQ sends pricing questions to a "Talk to an expert" button, and the request page lists info@trendminer.com and a Belgian head-office phone line as the two other routes.
There's no free trial. Capterra lists the price as "Contact vendor" and states no trial is available, and G2's pricing page shows a single custom-quoted edition with no free tier. What the homepage does offer is a free demo, booked through a "Schedule now" button.
G2 rates the perceived cost at five dollar signs out of five, its highest band. That rating reflects reviewer perception, and it matches the buyer profile: G2 says the large majority of its reviewers work at enterprises with over 1,000 employees.
What sets a TrendMiner quote
Three sources describe the levers, and together they explain why two plants of similar size can receive quotes that sit far apart. G2's pricing page names the commercial drivers:
- The number of sensor readings stored in the historian that TrendMiner reads
- The number of users
- The number of sites
- Enterprise integrations, which G2 says can raise the cost
The licence itself now encodes those limits. The 2026.R3 release notes, published 27 October 2026, say a new licence format must be installed before 2026.R4.0 and that "It includes the contractual boundaries covering user types and system quotas." User types and quotas are written into the file that unlocks the software.
Deployment type is the third lever. Vendr's TrendMiner listing shows a single product, Platform, deployable on-premise, in a private cloud, as SaaS or as a hybrid. Vendr carries no contract-value data for TrendMiner, so its page offers deployment detail and nothing on price.
Deployment options and the SaaS route
SaaS is the cheaper entry point on day one, and for a plant without spare server capacity it's the best of both worlds: full features and no install project. When TrendMiner relaunched its SaaS platform on AWS in March 2024, Processing Magazine reported that the hosted option carries "a lower up-front cost" for companies new to operational data analysis. SaaS customers receive new releases "without additional actions", which removes upgrade labour from the budget.
The same release covered TrendMiner Connect, a module that talks to plant integration servers without a VPN. It first shipped in 2023.R4, and it cuts one networking project out of a cloud rollout.
The marketplace route is older. AWS listed TrendMiner as a subscription service on 10 May 2022, with version 2021.R3, and described "flexible subscriptions" without publishing a rate.
On-premise installs put hardware, IT time and upgrades on the customer's side of the ledger. The installation guide covers the server setup that an internal team or a partner has to run.
What the industrial analytics platform includes
TrendMiner combines self service analysis of time series data with event data, so process experts can search years of plant history with low code data analysis and identify the cause of a deviation themselves. The FAQ describes "low-code, self-service analysis of time-series and event data", automatic pattern recognition, and "sophisticated machine learning (ML) and Agentic AI tools".
In short, it's intuitive industrial analytics aimed at engineers who'd otherwise wait on a data science team. A picture is worth a thousand words on a trend screen, and the pattern search is what the licence is paying for.
The capability list from the FAQ and product pages:
- Advanced search and filter across process data
- Monitoring of operations with predictive alerts that act as instant alerts on early warning signs
- Root cause analysis and event correlation across meaningful events
- Predictive capabilities and forecasting for operational data
- Interactive dashboards for KPI tracking and key metrics, used to deliver industrial data visualization to shift teams
- Real time monitoring through live mode on dashboards, used to identify drift before it trips a unit
Integration breadth is where the price earns its keep. TrendMiner offers standard integrations with AVEVA PI, Yokogawa Exaquantum, AspenTech IP.21 (the AspenTech IP historian), Honeywell PHD, GE Proficy Historian, Canary and Aveva Historian, plus SAP, relational databases and CSV files. The 2026.R2 release added a REST API connection to Proficy Cloud.
The strategic partnerships listed on the FAQ are Amazon, Microsoft, SAP, GE Digital, Siemens and Aveva. A buyer who already runs one of those data platforms has a ready connector, which keeps integration spend down and gets monitoring live sooner.
The TrendMiner Agent and mobile access
The newest features arrive on request. The TrendMiner Agent, introduced in the 2026.R3 release, sits inside the application, opens views, adds tags and answers "how do I" questions. It "connects to your own LLM", with Azure AI Foundry and Anthropic supported at launch and AWS Bedrock and OpenAI planned, so the model's usage bill lands on the customer's own cloud account.
The release notes say the Agent "is available today on request." They name no add-on fee, so ask in the first call if the Agent sits inside the base licence or on a separate line. It's the one question where the ball is in your court.
Mobile access came earlier. The 2026.R2 notes from 27 July 2026 describe a mobile dashboard overview with search, time-frame switching and a QR code scanner for asset dashboards. Editing stays desktop-only. The same release added an MCP Server that connects TrendMiner data to Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude, and calculated tag nesting went from 2 levels to 20.
Implementation, training and onboarding services
Implementation is the line item buyers underestimate, because it touches plant operations, IT and the historian team at once. G2 puts average time to implement at 4 months, and every month of rollout carries internal engineering hours, historian access work and onboarding services on top of the licence.
Training is the part reviewers praise most. A methods support reviewer at a manufacturer with $1B to $10B revenue wrote on Gartner Peer Insights in June 2021:
"Trainings are great with a lot of real exercises that help users accomodate to the tool."
Scale of rollout varies. An application analyst at a $50M to $1B company wrote on Gartner Peer Insights in May 2021: "We've onboarded over more than 300 process operators, coaches and process engineers". A vice president at a mid-market firm wrote on G2 in October 2026: "Our team has been able to start up and develop in a matter of weeks."
The learning curve is the counterweight, and a site that schedules no training risks going back to square one with each new hire. A quality system manager in paper and forest products wrote on Capterra in July 2023: "The learning curve could be a bit steep for some inexperienced users." An IT coordinator wrote the same month on Capterra: "The documentation can be a bit lacking."
What users say about the price
Self service users raise price complaints at the two ends of the customer base: multi-site rollouts and single small plants. A food and beverage reviewer at an enterprise with over 1,000 employees wrote on G2 on 24 September 2026: "It could be very expensive for a Lager scale."
At the small end, a CEO and owner in furniture wrote on Capterra in October 2023: "Small businesses may not be able to afford the cost." G2's own summary of reviews adds that some users found the product too costly for management approval, and that one wanted more flexible pricing models.
Other complaints touch daily use. An enterprise manufacturing reviewer on G2 wrote in October 2026:
"I can't turn off data interpolation or access the raw numbers through TrendMiner."
Support performance draws the opposite verdict. A Gartner reviewer wrote: "The support teams are competent and always easy to reach to." That consistency is worth something when a contract runs for years.
Who TrendMiner is priced for
TrendMiner is built for large process plants in highly digitized manufacturing industries, where the company's industrial analytics compete for budget with historian upgrades.
The homepage claims 48% of the top 50 chemical manufacturers as customers, 28 industry segments served and 100+ industry solutions. Across process industries, the FAQ lists chemicals, food and beverage, discrete manufacturing, energy and natural resources, utilities, and pharmaceutical and life sciences sites that maintain controlled environments.
The vendor's own case studies set the value bar for production efficiency:
- "How Sitech saved $2.4M in just 4 hours"
- "Bayer increases production capacity by 10%"
- "Insights in 5 seconds from 5 years of plant data" at Kuraray
- A pump resonance use case that "Saves Up To $360k Per Equipment Per Day" in avoided production losses
Those are vendor claims, and they explain the pitch: identify one failure early, turn it into data driven insights for the shift team, and the year's performance pays for the licence. The homepage also compares a ± 4-hour time to value against 1 to 30 days for a legacy approach. Energy companies and refiners running real refinery data through a PI historian are the obvious fit, because one avoided trip covers a quote sized for several sites.
Ownership shapes the contract too, so don't beat around the bush: ask which entity signs the paper. TrendMiner was founded in 2008 and sold to Software AG on 30 June 2018. Proemion agreed to buy TrendMiner from Software AG in April 2024, and the FAQ now describes it as "TrendMiner, a Vercore company", with its global headquarters located in Belgium and offices in the US, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
TrendMiner against its alternatives
The cheapest comparison is a historian with its own trending client. Canary and Ignition publish full price lists; TrendMiner sits a layer above them as an analytics platform that reads those historians.
| Product | Published price | Pricing model | Support or renewal |
|---|---|---|---|
| TrendMiner | Quote only | Sensor readings, users, sites, deployment type | Set in the quote |
| Seeq | Quote only | Users, sites and assets, tags and support plan tier | Success Plans sold separately |
| Canary subscription | $3,980 a year | 3,500 tags, unlimited Axiom and Excel clients | CustomerCare included |
| Canary perpetual | $11,765 one-time | $9,970 licence plus $1,795 first-year CustomerCare | 18% of licence a year |
| Ignition Platform | $1,200 | One server licence, modules extra | BasicCare 16%, TotalCare 20% |
| Ignition historian and reporting | $3,500 and $3,900 | Industrial Historian Solution Suite and Reporting Module | Same percentages |

Open the emailCanary and Ignition prices are vendor list prices read on canarylabs.com and inductiveautomation.com on 5 November 2026. TrendMiner and Seeq publish no price. None of these figures is a Vendr median.
An Ignition stack of platform, historian suite and reporting adds up to $8,600 one-time before support. That buys trends and reports for one server; root cause analysis across years of process data sits with the analytics company on top. For a full-stack ranking with more vendors, see our industrial data analytics software ranking.
Search results for "analytics pricing" mix the two worlds. Google Analytics measures website visitors. TrendMiner, whose homepage title reads "Industrial AI & Analytics Platform", is an AI software platform for industrial operations that reads plant historians and serves process industries, and our ranking places it beside Siemens Insights Hub, Proficy CSense, Litmus and Canary.
The decision comes down to the job. Trending one historian for one site is a solved problem at a published price. Time series data analysis across several historians, with event analytics and predictive insights that help engineers generate insights in hours, is the work TrendMiner quotes for, and it's where faster data driven decisions show up as process optimization and operational efficiency.
What to budget for TrendMiner
Budget in three parts for any company running TrendMiner across operations. The licence, set by sensor readings, users, sites and deployment type. The rollout, which G2 averages at 4 months of engineering and IT time. And training, which reviewers rate well and which a large site will repeat for every new shift team.
Bite the bullet on the demo early and arrive with numbers: tag count, historian type, sites, named users by role, and preferred deployment. A quote built on those five inputs can be compared line by line against the published Canary and Ignition prices above. Ask about the Agent, the MCP Server and the new licence file in the same call, since all three changed in 2026.
Use G2's 9% average discount as a negotiation reference, and ask for multi-year price protection in writing. A stitch in time saves nine here: a renewal cap agreed at signing costs less than one argued for at year three.

Bottom line
TrendMiner pricing is a negotiated enterprise subscription. The quote follows sensor readings, users, sites and deployment type, and the 2026 licence file writes user types and system quotas into the contract itself.
The total cost runs past the licence: a 4-month average rollout, training for every team, and on-premise infrastructure if SaaS isn't an option. For a large chemical or energy site that's a defensible spend against the vendor's case studies and G2's 8-month payback.
A single small plant that buys TrendMiner may bite off more than it can chew. For that site, Canary at $3,980 a year or an $8,600 Ignition stack covers trending and reporting with a price on the page. TrendMiner earns its quote where self service analytics and monitoring across many historians and sites is the job.
Analytics vendors, historian resellers and plant digital teams use reports like this one in budget reviews and sales calls.
