Three of 18 procurement vendors checked publish a full rate card: Spendwise, Precoro and ProcureDesk.

Coupa, Ariba and Zip publish no buyer price, so their dollar figures come from Vendr, which Vertice bought on 1 June 2026.

One Spendwise Basic seat costs $108 a year, about 875 times below the average tracked Coupa contract, and that ratio measures the width of the market.

Procurement software sells in two markets that never meet. One publishes plans from $9 a user a month on Spendwise Basic. The other publishes nothing, and the best public number for it is Vendr's average tracked Coupa contract of $94,519 across 85 deals.

This report checks 18 vendors against their own pricing pages and four Vendr pages, all read on 30 September 2026. It covers the five pricing models, the self-serve plans, tracked suite contracts, SAP's supplier fees and the implementation costs that land after the signature. It's written for procurement teams pricing a first procurement platform or replacing one.

A company under 100 employees on QuickBooks or Xero should price the published tier first: ProcureDesk Startup at $9,960 a year for 10 users or Precoro Core at $499 a month billed annually. A suite buyer should anchor on Vendr's tracked averages and budget implementation on its own line.

Log-scale bar chart of eight procurement software prices: published plans at $108 a year for one Spendwise Basic seat, $5,988 for Precoro Core, $9,960 for ProcureDesk Startup and $15,000 for ProcureDesk Growth, against Vendr tracked contracts of $15,000 for Procurify, $29,292 across all SAP products, $88,000 for Zip and $94,519 for Coupa
The published plans stop at $15,000 a year. Vendr's tracked suite contracts start there and run to $94,519.

Five procurement pricing models, from a $9 seat to $27 in AI credits

Five models cover procurement software, and most procurement platforms mix two of them. Each charges for a different unit of the procurement process: a seat, a package, a transaction, a share of spend or an AI outcome.

  • Per seat. Spendwise charges $9 a user a month on Basic and $19 on Pro. ERP Research lists Oracle Procurement Cloud at $300 to $425 per procurement user a month and $50 to $75 per requester, an estimate updated June 2026.
  • Packages with user caps. Precoro sells Core at $499 a month and Automation at $999, billed annually. ProcureDesk includes 10 or 20 users, then charges $20 a month per extra user.
  • Per transaction. Spendesk charges a fixed platform fee plus variable fees on "card purchases, invoice payments and expense claims." Vendr says Coupa Invoicing is priced on invoices processed. Oro Labs, an orchestration procurement software solution, bills on transaction volume, per Fortune's 12 March 2026 report on its $100M Series C.
  • Spend under management. Vendr's SAP guide says Ariba is priced on "spend under management, transaction volume, and modules," so the fee grows with the company spending and procurement activities routed through the platform.
  • Outcomes and AI credits. Coupa launched Compose on 12 May 2026 "with an outcome-based pricing model". On 20 August it disclosed "$27 in AI credits" for an agent that ran 2,395 payments totaling $20.1 million.

User type moves the bill as much as user count. Procurify prices on Pro users and admits Basic users without limit, per its pricing page, so a company with 12 buyers & 300 staff raising a purchase request pays for 12. Oracle's requester seat costs about a sixth of a full procurement seat.

Oro Labs co-founder Sudhir Bhojwani told Fortune he "never believed in [the per-seat] model." Vertice named the gap when it bought Vendr:

"Procurement teams have historically negotiated at a disadvantage. When buying software, vendors already know what they’ve charged comparable companies, the discounts they’ve offered, and where they’re willing to concede."

Eldar Tuvey, Vertice blog, 1 June 2026.

Self-serve procurement plans: $9 a user a month to $15,000 a year

Three procurement software vendors publish a rate card a buyer can pay without a sales call, and all three cover core procurement management. The devil's in the details, because each plan's cap decides the real entry price.

PlanPriceUsersGate
Spendwise Basic$9 a user a month1 to 510 transactions a month
Spendwise Pro$19 a user a month5 to 50Unlimited transactions
Precoro Core$499 a month ($5,988 a year)PackageQuickBooks Online, Xero
Precoro Automation$999 a monthPackageInventory management, supplier portal, NetSuite
ProcureDesk Startup$9,960 a year10, then $20 a month eachUnder 100 employees, no SSO
ProcureDesk Growth$15,000 a year20, then $20 a month each100 to 250 employees, NetSuite, Intacct

List prices read off spendwise.com/pricing, precoro.com/pricing and procuredesk.com/pricing on 30 September 2026. Precoro's packages are billed annually.

Spendwise Basic is the cheapest procurement software solution on a public rate card, and it stops at 5 users and 10 transactions a month. A team whose purchasing processes raise 40 purchase orders a month outgrows it in week one.

Precoro Core covers purchase order management, budgets, automated approvals and "2- and 3-way match," the procure-to-pay basics. Inventory management and the supplier portal start on the $999 Automation package, alongside NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

ProcureDesk prices by headcount band, so a growing company that crosses 100 employees moves from $9,960 to $15,000 a year.

Procurement rate cards thin out below those three. Ramp lists a Free tier, but its procurement module is an "Add-on to Plus or Enterprise" with no price. Spendesk sells cards & expense management first and procurement as an add-on module. Tradogram quotes its Premium and Scale tiers, and Procurify and Kissflow publish no figure, which is par for the course one rung up.

For small businesses, ten users cost $9,960 a year on ProcureDesk Startup or $5,988 on Precoro Core, and both packages cover the procurement management basics: approval workflows, purchase orders and budget tracking.

Quote-only procurement suites: Vendr tracks Coupa at $94,519 and Zip at $88,000

No procurement platform in this tier publishes a buyer rate card, so none of these numbers come straight from the horse's mouth. Most come from one dataset. Vertice, itself a procurement software vendor, bought Vendr on 1 June 2026, and the Vendr pages cited carry "Last updated: February 2026."

This report labels Vendr's header numbers tracked contracts and its guide ranges Vendr estimates, and the two disagree. Vendr's Coupa mid-market range sits 2.1 to 8.5 times above its own tracked Coupa average.

Coupa averages $94,519 a contract, plus 50% to 150% for implementation

Vendr tracks 85 Coupa procurement deals at an average of $94,519, with 22.75% average savings. Its guide estimates basic configurations at $50,000 to $150,000 a year and mid-market 3+ module deals at $200,000 to $800,000. Read between the lines and the tracked average sits inside the basic range.

Implementation costs are the line procurement teams miss. Vendr puts implementation at 50% to 150% of first-year subscription on complex deployments, which adds $47,260 to $141,779 to the average contract before go-live.

Coupa aims its 2026 pitch at agents that run procurement operations. It bought Rossum and Tonkean in May 2026 without disclosing either price. The buyout history sits in our report on Coupa's $8 billion take-private. The Fortune 500 label undersells Coupa's range, since Vendr prices a 100 to 500 employee tier on one or two modules at $50,000 to $200,000.

SAP Ariba runs $50K to $500K+ a year, with first quotes 40% to 60% above the final price

Vendr has no Ariba-only tracked contract. Its $29,292 average across 55 deals covers every SAP product, so it isn't an Ariba price.

For SAP Ariba, Vendr estimates $50K to $500K+ a year mid-market, 20% to 35% off initial quotes, first quotes 40% to 60% above what buyers pay, and renewals rising 3% to 8% a year. With that much padding, the ball is in the buyer's court.

ERP Today reports SAP confirmed Joule Agent Runtime is free through 31 December 2026, for Joule Agents in Ariba Intake Management, Ariba Contracts and Fieldglass that were "planned for general availability in June 2026." SAP News framed the move in May 2026:

"Autonomous Spend Management marks a fundamental shift from managing processes to delivering business outcomes."

Etosha Thurman, Co-business lead and chief marketing officer at SAP Finance & Spend Management.

Zip averages $88,000 a contract, with 3% to 7% renewal escalators

Vendr shows Zip at an $88,000 average contract with 18.53% average savings, and notes "Zip does not publish list pricing publicly." Its guide estimates intake, procurement & vendor management deals at $50,000 to $250,000 a year, implementation at $10,000 to $50,000, and renewals at 3% to 7%.

Vendr's guide also says Zip runs "50–70% less" than Coupa, while its tracked averages sit 7% apart. The same publisher's two numbers don't see eye to eye.

Zip sells configuration speed on the procurement process and a requester-facing user experience. Its workflow page promises users can "Change workflows without help from IT using Zip's flexible drag-and-drop interface" with "No-code configuration," and zip.com claims 10.1M "Days cycle time saved" across procurement cycles.

On 16 September 2026 Zip added Sourcing and PO Superagents, aimed at sourcing and purchase order management, plus wider supplier risk scoring, all unpriced. See the Zip review and our third-party risk management tools ranking.

Kate Hiykel, who runs the vendor management program at Mutual of Omaha, said in Zip's 16 September 2026 release, "Zip’s AI Risk Orchestration, in combination with its agents, has changed how we do vendor management."

Ivalua, Jaggaer, Oracle Procurement Cloud and the rest

  • Ivalua: $180,000 to $700,000 a year for 3+ modules, first year $300,000 to $1,150,000 (Vendr estimate).
  • Jaggaer: $150,000 to $650,000 a year, first year $250,000 to $1,000,000 (Vendr estimate).
  • Oracle Procurement Cloud: $400K to $800K implementation, 3% to 5% yearly escalation (ERP Research estimate).
  • Kissflow, Spendesk, Fraxion, Airbase and Oro Labs keep prices under the radar. Fraxion prices on "user count, functionality, and ERP integration requirements."
Range chart of Vendr's first-year cost estimates for mid-market deployments: Zip $60,000 to $300,000, Jaggaer $250,000 to $1,000,000, Ivalua $300,000 to $1,150,000, Coupa $300,000 to $1,200,000 and SAP Ariba $400,000 to $1,400,000
Once implementation is added, every 3+ module suite starts its first year above $250,000.

What SAP Ariba costs the supplier: 0.155% of volume, capped at $20,000

Supplier management on Ariba carries a second price, and SAP passes the buck on it to the supplier, who can pass it back into bids. The standard supplier account is free. SAP Learning's fee schedule charges enterprise accounts 0.155% of qualifying volume, or 0.35% where service entry sheets are used, capped at $20,000 a year per buyer relationship.

  • Fees start after 5 documents and $50K with one buyer in a rolling 12 months, then apply to all supplier relationships with Ariba buyers.
  • $1M a year with one buyer costs the supplier $1,550 at 0.155%.
  • The cap arrives at $12,903,226 of volume at 0.155% and $5,714,286 at 0.35%.
  • US suppliers selling to public sector buyers and certified small disadvantaged, woman-, minority- or veteran-owned businesses are exempt.
Line chart of SAP Business Network supplier fees against annual volume with one buyer: at 0.155% the fee reaches the $20,000 cap at $12,903,226, at 0.35% it reaches the cap at $5,714,286, and $1M of volume costs $1,550
At 0.35% a supplier hits the $20,000 cap at $5.7M of volume, under half the $12.9M it takes at 0.155%.

Coupa's Registered supplier tier is free, and TrustRadius lists paid supplier plans "starting at $ 549" a year. Supplier onboarding fees never reach the buyer's invoice. Procurement teams that manage suppliers through Ariba meet them again in supplier relationships, since a supplier can price the fee into its bids.

Five pricing claims that don't hold up

Four of five procurement pricing claims fail against vendor pages and tracked contracts. Three trace to ProcureDesk's Zip vs Coupa blog, dated 25 March 2026, and AI search summaries jumped on the bandwagon.

Checked figures come from Vendr's marketplace pages and the vendors' own pricing pages, read 30 September 2026. A figure labelled Vendr estimate is its buyer-guide range, which differs from its tracked contracts.

A Workwize blog puts Kissflow at $1,500 a month for 50 users, yet Kissflow's procurement pricing page shows no figure. ProcureDesk's blog says it's built for 50 to 250 employees, while its own procurement pricing page bands run under 100, 100 to 250 and 250+. Digisoft's "5 to 15 percent" yearly escalation runs above Vendr's 3% to 8%, and Vendr puts premium support at 10% to 20% of subscription, below the 15% to 25% repeated in AI summaries.

Key features that push the price up

The biggest jumps in what a procurement platform costs come from the ERP a buyer runs, the modules added to a core procurement platform (contract management, supplier management, invoicing), user type and, in 2026, AI agents. The essential features of procurement management (purchase orders, approvals, budgets) sit inside both published packages, Precoro Core and ProcureDesk Startup.

Approval workflows and custom approval workflows

ProcureDesk's $9,960 plan includes approval workflows, and "Approval auto-escalation" sits in the quote-only Enterprise tier. On a suite, custom approval workflows, routing rules and other purchasing workflows are configuration work folded into the module price.

Approval routing sends each purchase request to an approver by amount, department or budget, and gives the requester real-time visibility of the approval status, the requester side of the user experience. That approval process is the internal controls layer of purchasing processes against maverick spending, meaning purchases made outside contracts and preferred suppliers.

Procure to pay and invoice processing

Procure-to-pay covers the purchasing processes from purchase request to invoice, and its price tracks paper volume. Vendr says Coupa Invoicing prices invoice processing by the invoice, with overages 20% to 50% above base rates. A company processing invoices at twice its forecast pays the overage.

Precoro sells invoice automation as a $499-a-month AP Module, and Core already includes invoice matching, promising to "Automatically match your POs, receipts, and invoices in real time." Matching purchase orders to invoices is one of the repetitive tasks that manual processes handle worst. A procure-to-pay suite sells purchase orders, receipts and invoices as one unified platform, a centralized hub Coupa prices by module and by invoice count.

Contract management and supplier management

The value case for contract management comes from Deloitte research cited by Procurify's blog: average contract value erosion of 8.6% across 1,200+ organizations, against "just over 3%" for the best performers. 54% of respondents "lacked tools to automate the tracking and analysis of agreement terms."

Procurify adds that "AI can extract this information from the agreement and convert it into structured data," and that a renewal date "can trigger a review before the notice period closes." That's the case for contract management with contract storage & alerts on contract renewals, which replace manual follow-ups.

Supplier management features (onboarding, performance tracking and supplier risk scores) are the tools buyers use to manage suppliers, and suites sell them as a module.

Automated workflows and AI procurement agents

AI agents are the one line procurement teams can't find on any vendor's rate card. Coupa prices Compose on outcomes and has disclosed one $27 figure, SAP's runtime is free until 31 December 2026 per ERP Today, and Zip's Superagents launched unpriced. SAP's and Zip's agents target intake, contracts, sourcing and purchase orders, all procurement activities with no published price per agent.

"We are shifting the modern procurement and finance leader from running manual operations to directing a high-performing, AI-augmented engine,"

Salvatore Lombardo, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Coupa, Coupa newsroom, 20 August 2026.

On buyer value the jury's still out. AstraZeneca procurement director Lidia Korbel told SiliconANGLE on 14 May 2026, "I think we will learn more about the use cases in the next couple of months." Our ranking of AI procurement software compares the agent tools.

Procurement integrations with accounting systems

The ERP moves a company up a tier, because purchasing processes post into it. ProcureDesk puts two accounting tools, QuickBooks & Xero, on Startup and NetSuite, Intacct and Business Central on the $15,000 Growth plan, and Precoro draws the same line between Core and Automation. Vendr estimates Coupa integration with accounting systems & other systems at 10% to 30% of first-year cost.

Spend analytics and spend visibility

Every vendor checked bundles spend analytics into the plan price. ProcureDesk and Precoro put budgets in every plan, and ProcureDesk sells "Budget tracking and alerts" against actual spend, the basic spend control layer. Spend analysis of spending patterns across suppliers runs on the same data, and the procurement intelligence tools that sell supplier market data do so separately.

Zip claims $10.5B in "Total platform savings," a vendor figure for the savings opportunities that spend visibility is sold on. A buyer under budget constraints can test that in a demo by asking for real-time visibility of spending patterns by department, the view procurement teams use to control costs.

How to budget for procurement software and its total cost of ownership

A procurement budget needs three lines. They are subscription, implementation and the renewal escalator, and the last one decides how well a buyer can control costs after year one. On a published procurement platform, implementation is a few weeks of onboarding into an existing procurement process. On a suite at 150%, implementation takes the lion's share of year one.

Published options are vendor list prices. The suite column is Vendr's buyer-guide estimate for Coupa, taken from its written guide.

Other Vendr year-one estimates for Coupa:

  • Data migration: $10,000 to $100,000+.
  • Training & change management: 5% to 15% of first-year cost, the line that prices a steep learning curve.
  • Premium support: 10% to 20% of the annual subscription.
  • Go-live: 2 to 3 weeks on ProcureDesk, 4 to 6 weeks on Precoro, 12 to 24 months for an enterprise Coupa rollout.

Vendr's negotiation levers for Coupa procurement contracts are 15% to 25% lower annual pricing on a 3-year term, 5% to 10% more for annual prepayment, and 3% to 5% yearly caps on 5-year terms. Its average savings of 22.75% on Coupa, 24.16% across SAP and 18.53% on Zip show the first quote is rarely set in stone.

Future procurement costs grow with modules and users. A growing business adding seats pays $20 a month per extra ProcureDesk user, and one crossing 100 employees moves up a $5,040 tier.

Before signing, pilot the first step of the procurement process, the intake form, with 10 requesters and collect user feedback on the user experience before trusting any vendor's claim of an intuitive interface. Our vendor evaluation scorecard and RFP template carry the checklist.

Frequently asked questions

How much does procurement software cost?

The lowest procurement software price on a public rate card is $9 a user a month on Spendwise Basic, and Vendr's average tracked Coupa contract is $94,519. Spendwise Basic caps at 5 users, so the closer comparisons are Precoro Core at $499 a month or ProcureDesk Startup at $9,960 a year.

How much does Procurify cost per month?

Procurify publishes no price. Vendr tracks a $15,000 median contract, which works out to $1,250 a month.

What is the best procurement software for small businesses on price?

Precoro Core at $5,988 a year and ProcureDesk Startup at $9,960 a year are the two published procurement management packages with approvals, budgets and 3-way matching. Spendwise Basic costs $9 a user a month and stops at 5 users.

Is there free procurement software?

Ramp lists a Free tier at $0, but procurement is an add-on to Plus or Enterprise with no listed price. The cheapest paid procurement software solution with a public price is Spendwise Basic at $9 a user a month.

How much does e-procurement software cost per user?

Per-user list prices run from $9 a month on Spendwise Basic to $300 to $425 per Oracle procurement user, an ERP Research estimate. An e-procurement platform moves the procurement process online, and Procurify charges only for Pro users.

Does contract management cost extra?

On a suite, contract management and supplier management sell as modules. Vendr's Coupa guide gives 10% to 20% better per-module pricing for bundling 3+ modules upfront.

Bottom line

A $9 Spendwise seat and a $94,519 Coupa contract buy different things, and the 875x gap between them measures the width of the category. A buyer under 250 employees has three public rate cards for procurement management, from $9 a user a month on Spendwise to $15,000 a year on ProcureDesk Growth.

On a suite, the contract is only part of year one. Implementation at 50% to 150% of subscription, supplier fees up to $20,000 per buyer relationship on Ariba, and 3% to 8% renewals land after the signature. Keep an eye on the AI line and get the credit or outcome rate in writing before a procurement platform goes live.
