Clearbit pricing in 2026: what HubSpot charges after the standalone plans ended

Clearbit pricing in 2026 comes down to one line item, a paid HubSpot subscription. Clearbit's help center states "We're no longer offering new standalone Clearbit subscriptions", and the free tools that fed its funnel were switched off on 30 April 2025. The data now runs as Breeze Intelligence inside HubSpot, split into data enrichment and website visitor identification.

The cheapest route to Clearbit data is a HubSpot Starter seat at $7 a month billed annually, a limited-time 65% discount on a seat that costs $20 billed monthly. HubSpot's knowledge base, updated 10 July 2026, says "Data enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits." Identifying anonymous website visitors still does, at 10 credits per company per month.

By the end of this report you'll know the current Clearbit cost, the dated history of every sunset, the legacy credit rates existing customers still run on, what buyers say about price and data quality, and what a 10-seat sales team should budget. It's written for RevOps leads and founders weighing HubSpot as the cheapest way to get Clearbit's capabilities. The figures matter because every 2026 Clearbit budget is now a HubSpot budget.

Enrichment costs nothing beyond the seat, so the Clearbit price for a HubSpot customer is the HubSpot bill.

Starter's 500 monthly credits cover 50 monitored companies, and visitor tracking past that runs on paid credits.

Buyers who want Clearbit data outside the HubSpot CRM have had no purchase path since 30 April 2025.

How much Clearbit costs in 2026

A new buyer pays for Clearbit, once sold as Breeze Intelligence, by paying for a HubSpot seat. Data enrichment ships with any paid Marketing, Sales, Service, Content or Data Hub at Starter or above, plus Smart CRM Professional and Enterprise, per HubSpot's July 2026 enrichment guide. The free HubSpot CRM doesn't qualify.

Three meters sit on top of that HubSpot subscription. Intent burns 10 credits ($0.10) for every company among your website visitors that it creates or monitors for a month. Custom intent signals cost 50 credits ($0.50) per company per month. The AI research fields sold next to enrichment run on Data agent at 10 credits per prompt per record. Our intent data pricing report sets that $0.10 against 15 other providers. Form shortening and enriching contacts ride on the seat.

Anyone hunting for the old Clearbit pricing page is on a wild goose chase. Clearbit.com/pricing redirects to a homepage announcing that Clearbit has joined HubSpot, with a customer login and no checkout. The standalone API that developers paid for from 2015 onward now serves existing accounts only, so Clearbit API pricing has no public successor.

Clearbit pricing plans inside HubSpot

HubSpot's tiers are the working Clearbit pricing plans.

Seat prices are HubSpot's Sales Hub list prices, and Starter's $7 is a limited-time annual rate. Credit allotments come from HubSpot's Product & Services Catalog.

Free HubSpot CRM

The free plan is missing from the availability list on HubSpot's enrichment article and includes 0 credits a month, so HubSpot users get Clearbit data from Starter up.

Starter

Starter is the entry ticket. A seat lists at $7 a month on an annual contract during HubSpot's 65%-off promotion and $20 billed monthly (the page shows €7 and €90 to visitors browsing from the EU). Ten seats come to $840 a year, the figure our CRM software cost report logged on 1 October 2026.

Professional

Professional runs $90 a seat a month plus a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee. It lifts included credits from 500 to 3,000, enough to watch 300 companies a month. Ten seats with onboarding total $12,300 in year one.

Enterprise and Data Hub

Enterprise hubs carry 5,000 included credits, and an Enterprise Data Hub or Customer Platform carries 10,000, per the Product & Services Catalog. Both are quote-led on annual contracts. The devil's in the details with credits, which don't stack across hubs, so a company on Marketing Hub Professional and Sales Hub Enterprise gets the Enterprise allotment once.

Bar ladder of HubSpot included credits per month by tier, 500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional, 5,000 on Enterprise and 10,000 on Data Hub Enterprise, with the companies each covers at 10 credits per company: 50, 300, 500 and 1,000
At 10 credits per monitored company, Starter's included credits cover 50 companies a month and Data Hub Enterprise covers 1,000.

Key features the seat buys

HubSpot combines enrichment with visitor identification in one seat. Each of the four pieces maps to something Clearbit once sold as a standalone product or gave away.

  • Contact enrichment and company enrichment: automatic enrichment of new records, bulk enrichment from a list, and a single record on demand, plus continuous enrichment that refreshes records monthly, per HubSpot's settings guide (updated 31 July 2026).
  • Dynamic form shortening: HubSpot checks the enrichment data when a visitor fills in a form and hides the fields it can fill itself.
  • Website visitor identification: IP-to-company identification that names the companies behind anonymous website visitors, scored against your target market and billed in credits. Our visitor intelligence software ranking compares it with nine dedicated tools.
  • Smart properties: AI-written answers for account research, drawn from CRM records and the web, at 10 credits per prompt per record.

Contact enrichment needs first name, last name and work email, and company lookups need only a domain. HubSpot compares those fields with its commercial dataset, third-party providers and public web data, then writes matches into properties such as industry, employee count, revenue range and job title.

Those fields feed lead scoring and routing as records arrive, plus segments, ad targeting and custom workflows in the HubSpot CRM and the other tools synced to it, so a sales team sees them on every record.

Enrichment is off by default. A Super Admin has to switch it on or enrich records by hand, which trips up HubSpot users who expect to hit the ground running with HubSpot data on day one.

Hidden costs in the credit system

HubSpot's credit-based pricing sells each credit at $0.01, in packs of 1,000 for $10. The credits billing guide, updated 16 September 2026, sets five billing rules that decide the final bill.

  1. Included credits reset monthly and unused credits expire, with no rollover.
  2. Packs bought before 16 September 2026 default to auto-upgrade, which raises the monthly pack for the rest of the commitment term once usage tops the limit.
  3. Packs bought on or after 16 September 2026 default to pay-as-you-go overage, billed in arrears in 10-credit increments.
  4. Extra credit packs can be cancelled or downgraded only at the end of the contract term.
  5. Buying a pack sets an account spend limit 50% above total monthly credits.

Auto-upgrade drives the cost creep. In HubSpot's own example, an Enterprise account with 5,000 included credits buys 1,000 more, uses 6,500 in one cycle, and gets another 1,000-credit pack added for the remainder of its contract. A single heavy month raises every later invoice in the term.

Higher credit consumption comes from advanced features like AI actions and visitor tracking. Running one smart property across 5,000 records burns 50,000 credits, or $500, on top of whatever intent tracking consumed. Keep an eye on both meters, since the billing rules carry a learning curve.

What happened to Clearbit's free tools after the HubSpot acquisition

Clearbit's last pricing move before the deal opened its product to free users. On 6 September 2023 co-founder Matt Sornson announced "Free to try, free forever", opening sales alerts, weekly visitor reports, form shortening and CRM enrichment to any free account. HubSpot announced the deal eight weeks later.

  • 1 November 2023: HubSpot announces it will buy Clearbit.
  • 1 December 2023: the deal closes for $140.4 million, per the 10-K. HubSpot's completion release is dated 4 December.
  • 18 September 2024: Breeze Intelligence enters public beta at INBOUND with "over 200 million company and buyer profiles".
  • February 2025: a HubSpot employee posts the sunset schedule in the HubSpot Community, with the Logo API set for 1 December 2025.
  • 18 March 2025: the Logo API is formally deprecated.
  • 30 April 2025: the free tier, Weekly Visitor Report, TAM Calculator, Clearbit Connect, free Slack integration and free Risk and Name to Domain implementations go dark. New standalone subscriptions end.
  • 8 December 2025: logo.clearbit.com stops answering, a week after the first announced date.
  • 10 July 2026: HubSpot's knowledge base, with the Breeze Intelligence name gone, lists enrichment at zero credits.
Timeline from September 2023 to July 2026 showing Clearbit's free-forever launch, HubSpot's announcement and $140.4 million close, the Breeze Intelligence beta, the 30 April 2025 free-tool sunset, the 8 December 2025 Logo API shutdown and HubSpot's July 2026 zero-credit enrichment
Clearbit went from free forever to no new standalone sales in under 20 months.

The February 2025 post mapped each casualty to a replacement, intent data for the Weekly Visitor Report and HubSpot's market tools for the TAM Calculator, and the help center sent logo users to Logo.dev. For free users that was a bitter pill to swallow, since every replacement except Logo.dev needs a paid HubSpot subscription.

A founder on a legacy plan raised post-acquisition API access on Hacker News on announcement day:

"Curious to see how Clearbit will be integrated into HubSpot and if the Clearbit API will remain open for others to use. Are there any other viable competitors to Clearbit for coverage and quality? We have a legacy plan for my startup at a very good price, so I've never checked out the other options."

Clearbit Connect pricing and the rates existing customers keep

Clearbit Connect pricing was zero. The Gmail extension gave every user "10 free credits per month" for email reveals until 30 April 2025, and HubSpot named no paid successor. The closest match post-acquisition is contact enrichment inside the HubSpot CRM, and Clearbit's own HubSpot integration now serves existing accounts.

Existing accounts still run on the old credit model. The credits and usage article, which covers accounts registered in 2023 or earlier, prices each action as follows.

Legacy Clearbit actionCredits charged
Business-tier CRM enrichment, per unique email or domain1
CSV export, per unique record row1
Prospector or Discovery API, per unique record created2
Form shortening, per unique form completion2
Sales alert, per alert2
IP reveal, per unique IP address0.1

Rates from Clearbit's credits and usage article for accounts registered in 2023 or earlier.

Credits refresh at midnight UTC each month and don't roll over. Accounts opened through the Clearbit by HubSpot sign-up pay 1 credit per unique record for enrichment and 1 per form shortened. Clearbit enrichment pricing in dollars per credit was never published, so every contract was a sales call.

A few free APIs survived by the skin of their teeth. Company AutoComplete stays free for anyone, and the Name to Domain and Risk APIs stay free for existing customers, per the free-offer page. Clearbit integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot and Marketo, and the legacy Salesforce and Marketo setups remain documented, though the HubSpot integration is the only one new buyers can get.

Clearbit data coverage, sources and refresh rate

Clearbit's data page still lists the numbers the enrichment tool was sold on: 250+ data sources, 89 million company records, 462 million contact records and 4.5 billion mapped IPs, the base Clearbit Reveal used to name the companies behind website visitors. It claims a full refresh every 30 days and 94% email deliverability.

HubSpot's continuous enrichment refreshes records monthly, matching that cadence. Our firmographic data providers ranking sets that data coverage against ZoomInfo and Coresignal.

Clearbit and HubSpot publish different attribute counts. Clearbit's 2023 post promised "over 100 data points" per record, and HubSpot's 2025 community post lists "40+ firmographic, demographic, and technographic attributes," technographic data included. Both describe the same data foundation, and global coverage was the headline claim in each. Our technographic data providers ranking covers vendors that go deeper on tech stacks.

Three fields matter most for routing. Clearbit's homepage lists an industry taxonomy down to 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, corporate hierarchy links from subsidiaries to parents, and a normalized role and seniority for each title. The corporate hierarchy field sends a subsidiary's lead to the rep who owns the parent account.

Data quality complaints and HubSpot's commercial dataset

Clearbit appeared among emerging vendors in our sales intelligence market report. It holds 4.4 out of 5 across 632 reviews on G2, and the complaints cluster on price and accuracy. A small-business Sales Manager wrote in April 2026, "The price is somewhat high compared to the competition." A mid-market business development specialist went further:

"Clearbit can be expensive for smaller teams, and some advanced enrichment features are locked behind higher-tier plans."

Jyoti H., Senior International Business Development Specialist, mid-market, G2, 24 January 2026

Credit mechanics drew complaints before HubSpot took over:

"Their credit-based system is fairly unintuitive, and our team has found that the names/titles they have from a data enrichment standpoint aren't terribly useful for our audience."

Alice K., Sr. Marketing Manager, small business, G2, 6 February 2024

Accuracy gripes are par for the course and go back years. On TrustRadius, a manager at R Systems wrote in April 2020, "Information is not 100 % accurate. At times we need to validate," and a marketing manager asked in January 2025 to "Update database more frequently, as some information is outdated." A marketing director at a 501-1,000-person company compared Clearbit's contact data with ZoomInfo in March 2025:

"Email quality is good but mobile number data needs improvement. Compared to Zoominfo, they need to improve their tech stack details."

Verified User, Director, Marketing, TrustRadius, 17 March 2025

Anonymous visitor identification alone can feel thin. A marketing coordinator wrote on G2 in March 2026:

"I found it didn't do an awful lot past the whole seeing who is on the site, if they built it into a more full solution then it would be good."

Jack D., Marketing Coordinator, small business, G2, 12 March 2026

Buyers also feed the dataset they pay for. HubSpot's knowledge base says a verified record's first name, last name and business email "may be added to HubSpot's commercial dataset." Turning off automatic and continuous enrichment stops that contribution.

Clearbit against its alternatives

HubSpot's bundle tracks below ZoomInfo, Cognism and 6sense on Vendr's contract figures, because the seat doubles as a CRM. Our B2B data providers ranking and ZoomInfo alternatives guide cover the wider field. The table uses each vendor's published price or Vendr's tracked contract figure. Vendr's HubSpot page averages $26,250 across 709 deals, from $2,898 to $74,784.

Figures marked * include Vendr contract values from anonymized buyer data, labelled average or median as Vendr labels them. Every other figure is the vendor's published list price.

ZoomInfo pricing ranges from $7,220 to $155,730 a year for sales intelligence contracts on Vendr's ZoomInfo page, and our ZoomInfo review covers its contact data and data coverage. Cognism pricing ranges from $16,585 to $88,449 a year, broken down in our Cognism pricing report.

6sense sells buyer intent signals at enterprise scale, and its pricing ranges from $11,376 to $176,809 a year around a $62,440 median, which costs an arm and a leg for a small team, as priced in our 6sense pricing report.

Budget alternative for teams outside HubSpot

Apollo.io is the budget alternative for teams on Salesforce or another CRM. Its free plan costs $0, and Basic runs $49 a seat a month billed annually or $65 monthly, per Apollo's pricing page as rechecked in our Apollo.io review on 1 October 2026. Lusha pricing starts at $0 and runs to $399.90 a month for Premium, with Pro at $69.90, per our Lusha pricing report's 11 August 2026 check of lusha.com. Vendr puts Lusha's average contract value at $15,999 across 85 deals.

Both sell standalone, and annual plans for both cut about 25% off the monthly rate. Teams worried about sacrificing data quality for a lower price can test match rates on their own records with either free plan before signing an annual contract.

What to budget for Clearbit data

Both scenarios below fit mid-market teams and assume 10 seats on annual contracts at HubSpot's published rates.

  • Starter, 500 monitored companies: 10 seats at $7 a month is $840 a year. Intent on 500 companies drawn from website visitors needs 5,000 credits a month, 4,500 above the included 500, or $45 a month. Year one totals $1,380.
  • Professional, 2,000 monitored companies: 10 seats at $90 plus $1,500 onboarding is $12,300. Intent on 2,000 companies needs 20,000 credits, 17,000 above the included 3,000, or $170 a month. Year one totals $14,340.

Monthly billing changes the Starter math. The same 10 seats at $20 cost $2,400 a year before credits, 2.9 times the promotional rate. Don't count your chickens before they hatch on the $7 seat. Promotions end, so it is the number most likely to move at renewal.

Contact enrichment, company enrichment and form shortening cost zero credits, which makes Starter the cheapest route to Clearbit data for anyone in the HubSpot CRM.

Frequently asked questions

How much did HubSpot pay for Clearbit?

HubSpot paid $140.4 million in cash, net of cash acquired, for APIHub, Inc. (doing business as Clearbit), according to legal filings in its FY2023 10-K. It also booked $3.4 million in transaction costs and $4.1 million of compensation tied to staff staying on.

Is Clearbit owned by HubSpot?

Yes. HubSpot acquired Clearbit on 1 December 2023 and runs it as a wholly owned subsidiary. Clearbit data powered Breeze Intelligence from its September 2024 beta and now powers HubSpot's enrichment and intent features.

Is Clearbit free to use?

Company AutoComplete is the one Clearbit API still free for anyone. The free plan, the Gmail extension and the Weekly Visitor Report ended on 30 April 2025, and the Logo API followed on 8 December 2025. Enrichment costs zero credits on a paid HubSpot Starter tier or higher.

Where does Clearbit get its data?

Clearbit says it combines public web data, proprietary data and LLM processing across 250+ data sources, including company websites. HubSpot describes its enrichment as drawn from its commercial dataset, third-party providers and public information, checked by a human QA team.

How does Clearbit work?

Clearbit matches a work email address, domain or IP address against its dataset and writes company and contact fields into the CRM record. Inside HubSpot, enrichment runs on new records, bulk lists or single records, and refreshes monthly.

Is Clearbit a B2B company?

Yes. Clearbit sells B2B data to sales and marketing teams at B2B companies.

What is the best tool for data enrichment?

For HubSpot customers the bundled enrichment costs zero credits. Teams on Salesforce or another CRM need one of the standalone data enrichment tools compared in our data enrichment tools ranking.

Bottom line

Clearbit stopped being a product with its own price on 30 April 2025. What remains is a feature set inside HubSpot that costs a Starter seat for enrichment and $0.10 per monitored company for website visitor identification.

HubSpot customers get Clearbit data for close to nothing extra. Teams outside HubSpot need another vendor. Keep your eyes peeled on the credit meter, where auto-upgrades, expiring credits and term-locked packs turn a $0.01 credit into a contract commitment.
